Activities vary according to resident’s needs and include relaxation and movement workshops, craft sessions, one-to-one activities and gardening – weather permitting. Our Sonas therapy has proved to be very successful and its interactive nature helps residents to integrate and have some fun. The murals and art work created by the residents of the Tara Care Centre were created to help implement our new approach to Dementia care. Putting it together was good craic and took many people back in time to the Bray they once knew and remember. Coming out to visit Bray on the bus or train was always a memorable time. The good feelings of spending time with their families and the fun that they had been evoked.
